
A delegation of 17 participants from the Faculty of Public Health, Diponegoro University, consisting of 11 undergraduate students, 3 master’s students, and 3 faculty members, participated in the Southeast Asia Public Health Academic Conference (SEAPAC) 2025, held on 5–7 November 2025 in Bangkok, Thailand.
This engagement reflects FKM Undip’s continued commitment in enhancing students’ global competencies and strengthening the faculty’s international partnership network.)
Academic Visit to IPSR Mahidol University
(On the first day, the delegation visited the Institute for Population and Social Research (IPSR) at Mahidol University. The delegation was well received by IPSR’s faculty members and was provided with an overview of the institute’s research priorities as well as potential areas for collaboration.)
On this occasion, the faculty members from FKM Undip, Dr. Ratih Indraswari, S.KM., M.Kes.; Novia Handayani, S.K.M., M.A., M.Kes.; and Aditya Kusumawati, S.KM., M.Kes.—initiating further discussion on collaboration in the areas of education, research, and community engagement. This visit opened broader opportunities for partnership between FKM Undip and Mahidol University.

Active Participation in SEAPAC 2025
Throughout the three days of conference, the delegation participated in a series of activities, including symposium, thematic workshops, panel discussions, case-study simulations, and research presentations delivered by delegates from various Southeast Asian countries. These activities provided a broader understanding of the evolving public health issues at the regional level.

Valuable Experience for Students and Lecturers
Participation in SEAPAC 2025 generated positive impacts for the entire delegation, ranging from strengthened scientific presentation skills and expanded academic networks to a deeper understanding of public health challenges and innovations across Southeast Asia. In addition, this engagement represents an important step in reinforcing FKM Undip’s international collaborations.“It has been a wonderful experience—not only traveling abroad, but also taking part in an academic event. It serves as a bridge to a broader scientific environment. I also gained many new connections through this opportunity. I hope this becomes a gateway for me to participate in other scientific activities in the future,” Dewi a Master of Health Promotion student stated.
Through the successful implementation of this program, FKM Undip hopes to continue contributing to the advancement of public health science and to further expand its collaborative network with international partners.
